Thanks Prof.
I hope to use the original button pedal style shown here. Tomorrow I'll open up the pedal and check it for wear or broken coils if all is well,
I'll call Monday and order the cable kit @ $14.95 , its the plan if the OEM rheostat still functions.

I familiar with wide pedal style , have one for my Dermal ...I would like to leave it as vintage as it is....

One of the cool factors is it is the same year of manufacture as...well ....ME !  :)

Can't locate my meter ... it was a Pro Lafayette Multi-Meter ...and vintage itself I used it in Collage.
I believe it was lost in my Barn Fire in 2012.

Trust me that one is a reostat.

I'm  sure its a rheostat too ,  I'll check it out today for function , I'm betting it is good...its old, but She did not use it much
Don't think wear won't be the problem,  age and idleness will.

I think the one My Mom  had was bigger than that machine. But similar style. Not really sure, though. Probably been 30-40 years since I've looked at it.

I open the foot pedal this morning, looks quite the robust and well made part ...Tested continuity, with out a meter is all I could do....and it seems to work ?

I'll order the cable kit and go for it....

This is the tin of Singer Oil , I don't recall where I found it. but with $0.30 price it has to be 50's or 60's
it is about half full....

I'm still cleaning the deck , as some of the goo from the decomposed cord was globed on it , its coming off though.
Oiling , following the book is on going too...

I found 3 or 4  Simplicity & McCall's dress patterns in the case,  they have been used, the envelope photos appear to be 60's styles.
I would be happy to past these on , if any ladies are pattern collector's

Watching one of my favorite John Wayne movies.  SHE wore a yellow ribbon. I never get tired or watching Ben Johnson ride his horse in this movie. He was a natural in the saddle and reins in his hand.

Looking, at first I must have had the older manual, mine has a sealed bearing motor but I may have the belt to tight, was not feeling good the day I worked on it.  Going to do a complete cleaning and lube later this week.  New Singer continues to work,

Good morning Gents ...thanks Roo...

Probably says so long to Keurig...My machine quit a wile back , and was using my daughters ( stored here ) she's claimed it once more ,so its to be history in few days.

I looked at the prices  ::)  decided to get a Mr. Coffee at 1/3 the cost , and the upside I can set it to brew the night before.

Mr. Coffee is not quite as convenient or millennial as the Keurig ...but what the hey !

Same old weather pattern here ....heat born thunder storms Déjà vu

major2 I guess you could get a insulated craft to put the hot fresh brew in. Then have it without being over cooked.

These old sewing machines remind me of my mom.

I just seen this Ruger ..... .44 not sure if SASSA approved ;D

Got one like that also, was my Mom's.

As for the Ruger, not practical but tactical. ;D

It's strictly fun. I would not carry it for tactical purposes. Still looks like fun. Especially if you reload
