Culver's does pretty good chicken.

one local KFC went belly up last year. Don't know how they lasted as long as they did, service was horrible. Longest wait times of any eating place I've ever been in. If we want fried chicken, we just get it from the local Town &Country store deli. There's a smaller chain, Lee's Chicken, a spin off from KFC, pretty good. They always cater our club's annual match.

We have KFC in town, they could not get a order right to save their neck ....The Drive thru always screw it up, people tell me...
Out here, there is co KFC/Taco Bell..... They do have pretty good pot pie.

Culvers is relativity new to Florida, I had not tried it, until the last time WE discussed it on the board.
I went and tried the Cod sandwich , it was OK,  certainly better than McD's  filet o fish.
But it's drive out of my way, so I have not gone again.

I am so far inland Long John and Red Lob are the seafood places, but dang I can get you a good steak lots of places.

Did try the Chick O or as some call it God's Chicken, OK for a chicken sam, but I refer to that place as the lemonade stand, I beg for them on hot days.

Would not do Popeyes here on a bet, I read the health dept reports.

The one that I find scary is Chipotle Mexican Grill and its nationwide E. coli cases.

Made a Dr appointment Monday, wrote it down, can't find the piece of paper, call and ask time, we both laugh.  Open E mails, got notification of time waiting.   Also all the results of the tests at hospital which I already looked and and understand little.    Could have done it on this new fangled phone also, actually got 2 but remembered 1.   1:30 and then 3, there goes the afternoon.

Wife's cousin and his partner have their home in Oro Valley, across the ridge from the Bighorn Fire. They are waiting to see whether they will have to evacuate. Scary times.

Afternoon all.

Today has been sunny/rainy/thundery/haily/windy all day. I'm off of work for a three day weekend, so I slept in, and went for a walk by the Missouri River.

Among the more useful things I've done today is apply for some jobs in Missoula, and my soon-to-be fiancé and I got ourselves a place to live our there.  It's in a townhouse complex owned by the university, but not on campus.  So that's one thing out of the way.
