Howdy!

Finally got the screws off of the Uberti again and found the coil hand spring ( the hard way, it was my first attempt disassembling SAA pattern). I was able after a bit of..... grumbling...... to get the tiny screw back in after reassembly and all is working well.

My question is, I'm going to try to get the Cimarron Frontier (Pietta) grip screws off again to clean. Does the Pietta Black Powder frames have the coil springs or the Colt style leaf spring??

It has a coil hand spring but no setscrew, so be careful when the backstrap comes off!

Aww crap!.. Thanks for telling me that before I tried that. Just set in a hole held in by backstrap?

Yep.  Got it in ONE.  It's really quite simple, just remove the backstrap screws slowly and you'll have no problem.  Or tuck the end of the gun in a ZipLoc bag.  It's really no big deal (at least for me).

OK, I appreciate it. You replied just as I asked on the other thread... sorry. :'(
