The nostalgia must be in bloom all over now that we're headed into Summer.  I too was listening to this song this morning, along with the rest of my Marty Robbins greatest hits.  Two reminded me of a friend and I at EOT modifying some of Marty's songs.  "Big Iron" got turned into "Pig Iron", and "Cool Water" became "Cool Snapple" (that was what all the Vendors were selling), but you didn't mess with "The Ballad of the Alamo"! Getting up in the morning, the smell of the dew soaked hay, the sun just glowing as it rose, and these songs playing on the PA system in the middle of town.  I was almost back there at Raahauges Range again.

Back from Cardio, doing good, do a lab in 2 weeks and then I'm free for 3 months, changed BP med on the one I quit, little BP part but still helps strengthen the heart.   Hedi said I made a good call since it was only 2 weeks, not to go 3 months if I decide to do it again.    Weight is up a bit, about half way between post surgery and what I was in early March, told her I'm cooking again and eating better, she said it's not a bad thing either. 

Royal PIA to get in the place, elevator operator was nice a nice lady.   Ain't seen one of them in over 40 years.

Cool stuff Major, have heard the place has a lot of rattlesnakes.

Still going through pictures, a little nostalgia,  Gopher Grease is the guy in the derby, saved my bacon babysitting Riley while we were in the hospital, 2005 in Ioway, about a year and a month she was gone.

The pic with me as French Foreign Legion with the camel target was from one of the Grand Musters in Garnett. Not sure the year, I was at the "Snow Muster" at Ft Hartsuff in '09. Texas was '10, so maybe that was 2011 or 12.
