I am feeling better. Went to verk, today.

My boss gave me about 800 rounds of assorted .22 LR ammo. Even some steel case made in Russia.

Get well soon, Del.

Hmmm.. Sgt Schultz's Colt? Maybe a Colt with a silencer and no sights?

Take care Del,   are you able to take meds to fight it ?

Trivia : Sgt Schultz carried a Krag-Jørgensen rifle  .....  and in fact not an anachronism

When the Germans over ran Denmark , they actually ran the arms factories Krags were produced, and use by second or third line German forces .  ( Same thing in France Berthiers & MAS Modèle 36 rifles.
History shows that 30,000 Danish Krag-Jorgensens were taken by German forces and were shipped into German

Evening all.

Today I am writing from the comfort of a Holiday Inn room in Great Falls, MT.  I've been here since Sunday evening, with yesterday and today filled wit Military stuff.  Today I got to turn wrenches on a real plane for the first time, which was fun. Nothing super technical, but it still made me feel useful. I'll be here for 6 weeks, then I go back to traditional guardsman status.

I've gotten by without any Corona so far (though I still think I had it at BMT, but I can't prove it). Hopefully y'all are similarly fortuned.

John Banner was also Jewish and would only take the part of Sgt. Schultz as long as he didn't have to carry a NAZI weapon. I read this in a short biography about him.

Mrs Marvel wishes you all the best and send prayers (coff coff).

My Dear CASCity Netifriends -
linked are tintypes of the works in progress
neither of these are going to need the massive barrel vise, 4 foot wrench,  and concrete reinforcements, and so I can move forward...

Thanks Baltimore Ed!

now I merely have to fire up my mad science laboratory and lengthen a cylinder....

Sargeant Shultz Colt (not as nice as  "Captain Schaeffer's" Colt, but incredibibley more cheaper affordable),
not yet cut, with alternate barrel so I can have both a 5" and a 3 1/2"  ? 3.xyz" ?
I am following in Major's and Coffinmakers footsteps...

Thanks for the coffee!
late to the table as always.
No biscuits, just meat.  I need to cut down on starches.
I never thought it would happen but "suddenly" after sitting around for 2 years my pants are all too tight.
eat less exercise more!
Trinity - Congrats on your position & air-mechanic experience. I had no idea they would put you up ata Holiday Inn, tho...

today I must clean a minisplit aircon coils and fix a rattle, and go into town to collect medicinals, salad and some good steaks
for Mrs Marvel's upcoming Geburtstag.

I shall have to post a pair of new threads in gunsmithing for the Frankenruger and Sgt Schultz's Colt.

What is the opinion on the  Colt barrel length?
the incorrect 4" like Pietta;s Schaffer replica  or the correct 3 1/2" ?
Since I have 2 barrels the function of the lever  doesn't matter so much.
I also need to decide which barrel to cut :-)

Professor Sir,

If pants are too tight, just don't wear them. Like 40 Rod does. (It is the sure way to get him looking back in this thread)

Barrel length question.  I own several Colt clones  with 7+ barrels I also have one with interchangeable with a 51/2 barrel with additional sawed off 1" barrel.  Most of my pistols are 5 or shorter.  I vote for 31/2"

Lil Rooster -
Frau Doktor Marvel agrees on both counts

- she also like snubby revolvers

The Trinity Kid

Evening all.

Today's excitement included breaking a screwdriver in front of my squadron Chief, and banging my head on the flap control screw of the plane I was working on.  So that was exciting.

Tomorrow is my last day for the week.  I'll be spending the weekend probably in Billings or Missoula.  I haven't decided which yet.
