Do any of the Colt reproductions have a separate recoil shield?

Joe, are you asking about the firing pin bushing by any chance?

Assuming Joe means the firing pin bushing, the Piettas have it (EMF Great Western II, Cimarron Frontier).  Ubertis don't except for the stainless guns.  At least some (maybe all?) of the Uberti stainless have it.

Firing pin bushing is what I meant.  That is what they call the darn thing on early L.C. Smith shotguns.  The reason I asked is I have a matching numbers 1882 Colt frame, trigger guard, and back strap, that someone drilled out and turned into a .22 Mag.  I want to return it to .45, but a nationally known gun plumber wanted a $1K to fill the hole.  I was wandering if a firing pin bushing from something else might be fitted at much less cost.
