.45 Schofield and the Hornady L&L A&P

This may be old info.  I had a RCBS 2000 which used the same shell plate for 38 WCF, 44 WCF and 45 S&W.  Neither the shell plate for the WCF cartridges nor the .45 Colt plate will work.  Hornady charges around $150 for a custom plate.  I bought a #9 ($40) which is the plate for the WCF rounds and opened it up with a Dremel tool.  It works well.  Because of rim thickness, the #9 seemed a better choice than trying to modify a .45 Colt sheel plate.
