I love the smell of Black Powder in the morning!

Pretty fair amount of liquid sunshine so far today. Much too wet for me to be outside. I was hoping  to get some thing planted this week. Might be later this week.

Being a boomer is paying off now.

No rain here today, but lots of leftover liquid soil. Still have lots of hay , managed to put out several bales scattered around the farm, maybe that'll hold the critters until there's enough grass. Tired of making ruts.

litl rooster

It is ugly outside this morning. Will let the chickens out and will help feed goats then back to house.
PonyExpress you might be happy to have some hay when the grass turns green.

Coffee first

World stupidity continues to spread faster than a virus.  If you don't sprinkle salt on a soda cracker before baking it ain't a unsalted saltine it's just a damned soda cracker.   ::)

Nothing better than butter from dairy...

The brand you are showing is counteracting it?s self.

Saltine meaning salt
But salt free. One or the other, they need to makeup their minds

zapped a frozen breakfast burrito here on day 8 of social distancing/retirement  :-\

Discovered and watched some Mark Novak videos , discovering this one

after doing a similar repair on my new to me Krag Constellatory/Cadet rifle ( both rifles as rare as Unicorn farts )

Its pretty much the same path I followed as I wrote about as a tutorial for an upcoming issue of the NCOWS Shootist.

litl rooster

Thank you for the coffee Slim.
I take it the ?stay at home? does effect your work?

Major the crack repair looks good.  Stain and varnish should hide it even more.  I once repaired a stock on a TC Hawkins rifle. Broke thru the wrist. Dowel and Accurglass. I used for hunting that year. I was in Log Cabin Sporting goods and mentioned it. They told me bring it in and they would replaced it for free. The repair held good. Resale value on front stuffers isn?t very high. Having a cracked repaired stock wouldn?t help. I took them up on replacement.

Looks like your using your staying at home time well.

Btw I did cringe when he finished breaking the stock in the video.

Major 2

I had to do the same  :o

the difference his was broken across the grain, mine was along the grain which was a way cleaner break.
He had a lot of blown out missing wood.
I cringed, when he was planning a Longitudinal bolt (almost turned him off when that was his plan).
I also know that on a molecular level no matter how good the adhesive is (ACRAGLAS? is great product) will not bond to steel.
When he opted to cross pin the break, he was headed on the right track

litl rooster

Won?t bond to steel, if you apply the release agent. In has been some time since I have used it maybe it has changed.
