lost front site pin

Hey y'all, I lost the front sight pin off my Cimmeron 1851 RM conversion.  Parts is on back order, any emergency suggusttions , was fixing to shoot Sat

Back ordered by who?  Did you check VTI , Taylors , Cimarron , Dixie ?

Be sure you specify the conversion sight, as it is taller than the percussion sight.  They used to be the same, but half a dozen years ago or so they made it maybe twice as tall.

Well, if all else fails, find some brass rod that fits inna hole and cut some off.  Clean out the hole with a pipe cleaner and alcohol.  JB Weld the brass piece you just cut, into the hole.  WAIT 24 HOURS.  Go Shoot.

Forgot:  Lowes, Ace, Home Despot, Michaels, places like that for Brass Rod Stock.  A stick will last ya pret'near forever.

if you clean it real well, the JB weld may last longer than the real sight.
