After prepping 2000 44-40 cases ready for powder and projectile, I was reminded that I hadn't checked in for a long while to palaver with the Brothers (and Sisters) of the s00t. The Holy Black as it were. The dark arts. What do I find? the forum looks all different. Good thing I remembered my password thingie.

I recently threw in the towel on a job that was literally killing me. 12 hour days and little time for the Mrs. and myself. Then new owners came in and demanded more. I said "Bye". After 42 years servicing and repairing General Motors products, including 3 years as a Service Manager I decided to "spool it up." I'm interviewing for a managers position in a gun department at a local ranch supply store next Monday. It doesn't appear to be all that complicated. I've had three weeks off to decompress and looking forward to new challenges. And more time to check in here!

I have been told by a physician dear to me, my Daughter, that delaying retirement helps with the longevity.

I wish you luck with the job application. I almost did the same thing when I retired from being a "crime fighter", Crown Counsel, aka; district attorney, in 2008. instead I became a defense attorney, or "freedom fighter", and doing quite well for an 'Ol phart.

If somebody will pay you money NOT to come to work then that?s a pretty good gig. Congrats. Enjoy doing what you want to do but, and this is my own personal theory, always keep moving because when you stop moving you die. I?ve been getting paid to stay home and have kept moving for almost 7 years. Can?t believe it?s been that long. Enjoy it, I?m sure you earned it.

Well, I'm the new sporting goods specalist at Murdoch's Farm & ranch Supply in Powell, Wyoming. In charge of guns, ammo & reloading. Never, ever put a child in charge of the candy store.

I'll give this a shot. The money is okay, I just need to work a little bit longer before I slide into retirement.

Enjoy the new job-love it when shooters/hunters have some say in gun/hunting departments. They know what is needed/wanted much more than company geeks that don't or think what will sell or is needed.
