My son discovered this, I bought one and bolted it to my own PPS, and it indeed allows you to attach all manner of interesting things to the back of your pistol.  (Palmetto State Armory has a pistol brace that looks very like a Soviet Krinkov folding stock)  Very nice for varmint shooting, or modern gun games.  Easy detachment for a Zoot match.

You do realize that you need to file a Form 1 to build a Short Barreled Rifle and pay the tax to legally attach this to the PPS pistol? Or you could permanently attach a barrel extension to bring the length to 16". But if you're building a SBR, you can then make the factory folder operational again.
A lot of what is taken for engineering fact, if you dig into it far enough, is often just someone's opinion.

Not if you're using a pistol brace.  NOT a stock.

I Was wondering if this whole AR "Pistol Brace" thing could apply to firearms other than the AR, or AK.

I wonder is AO is working on a brace for the Thompson?  That and a binary trigger would be amusing for a few mags.

Drydock

Yes, there are braces out there for Sigs, AKs, basically any short barrel pistol adaptation you can think of.  INCLUDING the Thompson Pistol!
