Wonder if I would fit in

Yup, I was asked if I would shoot the new B western catagory. I said at the time I was happy enough shooting Frontiersman, Frontier Cartridge, Gunfighter or Senior Classes. I shoot 'em with my usual outfit of yellow hat, plaid shirt, bluejeans, scarf, arm garters and red boots. Yikes!!!
I said at the time I was asked that I didn't think I would qualify for B western, clothing wise, but now that I have given it a little thought, I wonder. Maybe I could, and since I shoot double duelist, gunfighter style and have the proper guns, just maybe it would be allowed, even if I portray a cowboy puppet and not a real B western hero.
I would really qualify in a Blooming Idjit catagory should they come up with yet another catagory. I do like the thought of shooting open class though. :)

Just wondering in Doodyville.

Kindah thought Howdy Doody was a western hero.  Barely 'member the show.  Mebbe 'member it from reruns better.

Folks younger'n me may not know.  http://www.howdydoodytime.com/index.html  It was a hoot for a l'il cowboy.

All I did was name it 'n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

Howdy Doody was a PUPPET!??? :o :o :o

This is so distressing!

He was a "western hero" to me.  I used to watch him every day as a yonker in times when we had such heros as Roy, Gene, Sky King, the Texas Rangers, the Lone Ranger, and oh so many others who have now faded into memory.  In fact, some of us at the Convention were discussing shows we watched as kids and I mentioned Howdy.

Well, pards, then the next time I get a chance to, I'll sign in as B western. I guess the key ingrediant is gaudy. Just so long as they don't want me to give up my BP, I think open shooting is fun.
I still have yet to hear of a Buffalo Bob as an alias. Buffalo Bob had a cool outfit too. Buckskins with that embroidered buffalo on the back and occasionally a coonskin cap. Cool.

Ya know, I have shot enough western 3 gun to know that giving options is not such a bad thing. I kinda like stretching my knotty brain to figure the best way for me to shoot one of their stages would be, since they let you figure your best plan of attack  and that is one thing that makes W3G different from a SASS stage you might get a procedural for doing things your own way.

Which gets me to doing some more thinking. I think Badlands Bud, Spence and some others in my neighborhood probably should have some fancy duds on their Christmas ( uh,oh, I mean holiday) lists. The style they shoot is gonna be real conductive to the B western open stuff. BB has won matches shooting duelist and is feroucious as a gunfighter. All those guys need is a buscadero and some dude ranch duds. ;D
