My 25-20 and a wish

This is my favorite '92 --it's a 25-20 and a joy to shoot. The rifle had lost a 100% of it's finish and picked up cracks in the butt and fore stock. dispite the exterior the bore is in excellent condition and funtions as it should. My wish would be to have a SAA in 25-20 to match the rifle--that is one combo that i do not  believe will ever happen. I am sure a custom pistol smith could fabricate one but the cost would be beyond my budget!

I also have a 1892 in .25-20. Has a 24" octagon barrel. Fun to shoot. Wood is in pretty good shape. Most of the metal is has lost it's bluing. Brass is sometimes hard to find for it.

I have a 25-20 like the one shown.  Mine has a saddle ring and was made 1920.

I've  owned several 1892 rifles and carbines in .25-20.  In fact the first carbine I ever bought (I was 13 years old) was a .25-20.  I paid $40.00 for it and got half a box of ammo to boot.  Many have come and gone since then, but I still have a very fine high condition carbine in that caliber.  The .25-20 is sooo much fun to shoot and easy to reload for.

yeah reloading them is easy, but i find cases don't hold up to many loadings. The case mouths are fragile. Even ones that have been annealed.(probably spelled wrong)
