That may have been Universal.  Buggs and Marvin were however, parented by Warner Bros. Studios.

That sign however, is made from pure Gottahaveium, which is now Unobtainium.  That sign is just SOOOOO KOOOOOL

So much of the fun and experience of acquiring an older firearm is the research of the history and the provenance of that piece.
I often think to myself or read someone's comment " if IT could only talk ! "

The back stories are as interesting to me as the piece itself and to be the current steward is my privilege.

So far I have discovered this S&W K-frame is an early post-WW II .38 Military & Police with date of manufacture late 1946.

M2, Where did you get your cool Marvin the Martian sign? My son is also a Marvin though he's an earthling, afaik, I've given him numerous Marvin the Martian items over the years. I just looked around the intranet without seeing a sign like that. Inquiring minds want to know. I also would like a broader shot of your lair, looks interesting.  Ed

Photos of the lair sent via email  :)

Yours's looks equally interesting

Latest acquisition.

On the right correct small frame Remington Navy. Early Uberti manufacture(1971) for Lyman.

Both Remingtons in pic are .36 cal. Navy, but since the mid-90's Uberti has used the large frame for both the .36 and .44 calibers.

I've  had this little Beretta Cheetah for a while now, I've grown quite fond of it .

Double stack 12 round magazine, and the OEM Grips made it something of a fat 2x2 feeling grip...

I put a set of LOK G10 Grips on it back in December and it transformed the handling.

How easy to rack the slide? I have a double stack Bersa that is murder to rack.

Up-date   probably going to pass on the FN P35

Older Gent is motivated but, thinks in the stratosphere value wise  ::)
Claims it was brought back by his Father ,   so there is,  sentimental on top of true value...
then there is the Re-finish , so collector value is compromised...

Its a nice shooter grade , but not at the number$  he thinks he like to get...

:)  Maj 2  ;)

"Value" is a strange term.  Oft misused.  Not being a collector of anything, to me they are all "shooters."  It never ceases to amaze, the "Value" ascribed to some items that are nothing more than just another "old gun."

There was a time 98K Mausers, Waffen marked, were the lofty sum of 45 Bucks.  While I was stationed in Germany, a load of Waffen marked P35s became available in the rod and Gun Clubs.  $75 Bucks.  While the finish was not pristine, the mechanicals were as "unfired" in most cases.  We found out we couldn't ship them back because of a Lanyard Ring as part of the frame.  I sold mine for 90 Buck and was sorry to see it go.  Oh Boo Hiss.

It is also a shame to see the number of the unwashed masses that don't understand the damage when they innocently have true antiques "refinished."

I have oft said,  "I'm a shooter not a curator"
Its cool to have a example or specimen of a particular historic piece to shoot , not to leave to some future wag to profit off of...

This fellow is asking an internet surfed numbers + sentimental stratospheric imagined "hope chest" number....

when & only "if" he comes down to earth , will he sell it .... my offer stands as long as I have the "ducks"

Since Browning is no longer making the HiPower, the prices have gone up considerably, If it was under $1000.00 it is a fair price.

Major, he's @ some north of 2 G's...  ::)
If it was in original finish , he'd be in the ballpark, for @'s matching mid-1943  FN P36 with all it Waffen eagles & stampings.
Maybe even more, course I did not see it before it was  defiled  :(
Sadly., he did not know better....he spent a few hundred to loose a grand or more.  :o

Unfortunate but you don't know what you don't know.

I agree his asking price is ludicrous for what is now a shooter grade pistol.

Well, we moved in December and I am finally getting the last of the garage finished up. Before we moved I had all the parts for a new AR15 build, but once we had moved could not find the lower! Finally got fed up looking so went and picked up one. Went to get all the stuff together....and, yup....found the lower.
