Don't believe I can make it, but THAT would be fun!

We expect it to be the old west version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, dress up, toss dimes and have fun.

It's my birthday/retirement party.

That sounds awesome Del!  Our scenarios for the July Blue River Regulators shoot were based on Blazing Saddles. I hadn't watched that movie for at least thirty years, but just this last Friday night caught the "cut" version on TV. That is some funny shit! I can't believe how sensitive/lame our society has become(present company excluded), that movie could NEVER be made today. You probably better keep the showing somewhat under wraps Del, or there will be protesters outside the Joyo on the 8th!

As a side note, my Mother and Stepfather Don Montgomery owned/ran the Joyo for about twenty years. Don worked there as a teenager and bought an ran the theater mainly as a hobby in the 1980s.

It is far better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt!

Let em protest, don't think that crowd that will be there would put up with it.

What a capital idea for a party.

Congrats.

Happy Retirement! I don't think I can make it, but I do have the DVD, and will watch it by proxy.

Hi

I gotta work out a way to get to this sucker.  I saw the movie with my parents setting by Dad who was in the middle.  Mom being VERY Southron Baptist was of course disgusted.  Dad not so much.  He was say how horrible the movie was and turn my way and just bust a gut.

I still like Young Frankenstein better, but mainly cause of Terry Garr.

That always cracked me up.  You knew there was something behind that, but they never even hinted at what.
