I am surprised how long the primer burned before the powder went off, mine is almost instant.

Yeah, I think that hang-fire in the first shot was caused by the powder used. The previous owner brought out some powder he had. I guess it could have also been a defective primer. After that shot we used my Fg that I'd bought for the cannon and we didn't have any more hang-fires.
