Just today on Canadian Gun Nutz, someone posted an estate sale of Chiappa Spencers, all in 44-40. The carbines are already gone, but he has several (!!!) rifles remaining.

His asking price is a little high compared to what I paid for my 56-50 and I told him so in an email. That may make him amenable to a reduction. But - he says - "Buy two, get one free!" Tell your friends!

Had he done this before I ordered my 56-50, I would have been quite happy with one in 44-40 as I have several 44-40 rifles and revolvers.

We may yet get a body of Spencer shooters active this side of the DMZ ....  ;)

still  4  rifles   available the seller tells me, im thinking on grabbing 1  but wonder if  ill get   more problems than fun ?  all  in 44-40, all rifle lenth, 30 inch barrels .

any  comments or has any member  bought 1  from this estate sale ??
