So sorry to hear the news. When I was new to NCOWS, Vaughn helped me out with a lot
of questions. He worked on a few guns for me, one in particular I'd like to mention. When
a very good family friend was dying a few years ago, he wanted me to have something. I
chose an old Spencer pump shotgun, that looked pretty rough. I redid the wood and Vaughn
nickel plated the receiver and blued the rest. He brought it to a Traders jubilee in Mcgregor.
And it was stunning, he displayed it for the weekend, and we could have sold it 20 times. Now
that gun will still honor Kenny's memory, but now also my friend Vaughn who did such a
great job on it.

Was thinking of Vaughn just this past week. He brought my boyhood 22 Winchester 1906 back to life 20yrs ago.... which I use for weekly rimfire league.

I met Vaughn & Cheryl back in 95 (?) up near Ackley, Iowa & shot lots of monthly and annual shoots with them...

Sorry to hear this.  Vaughn and Cheryl were two of the first NCOWS people I met the first time I attended a Convention.  It was at the hunting club on the south side of Des Moines.  Can't remember the year, but it was a long time ago.  Got Cheryl to make me some very nice bib front shirts.

He will be missed.
