Yesterday I got the Springfield M2 out of the safe for my grandson and me to shoot. I wouldn't let him play with my toys while he was in high school as his grades were so crappy but now that he has graduated and working he's being more responsible. This was our first shooting session in years and his first time with the Springfield. He did pretty good for a greenhorn that's left eye dominant. But in all fairness the M2 is so heavy and the sights are dead on so it's hard to miss. He was hitting my small 35 yd swingers fine. I also let him shoot the Webley Fosbery at my cas targets. He was actually impressed I think. We had a good time, hopefully we'll do it again soon.

Since I've had it I found a correct M2 bolt handle [fleabay] to replace the bent one and replaced the safety with a military type that is supposed to be original to the rifle. This new year I want to put the action into a decent full length 03-A3 stock just because I like the look but I would use milled parts.

Other than my BAM match loads of Tin Star for my local club shoots I'm afraid that I've not done anything else.

Wonderful rifle Ed -- and what a choice for a revolver!

Major 2

BTW....if you want to sell the original M22 stock, Dakota Ike has a M22 Action in a aftermarket sporter stock, he like return his 22 to this configuration ....
