DD, I have a few from clean new looking to well worn . They all work and shoot better than what would be thought. We are talking colts. The little pistols are very well made and it's easy to find one in mechanically  good condition. They are solid little guns. You should get a pair! One for each pocket! Dusty Boddams

I have a 1910 Mauser in .25 and it's big brother, 1914 Mauser,  in .32. Bought both from the local "toy" store.

If you are looking for 21st century .25acp mouse guns I can recommend Beretta tip-ups. The 950BS is the single action and the 21A is the DA/SA version. Very reliable 'rib guns' or as my friend Joe Ray calls them 'git-off-me' shooters. First rule of my brother Scotty's rules of gunfighting; "if you don't like the first one, you're really gonna hate the next one". Caliber and capacity up. Repeat as necessary.

More like vintage pre 1968 mice.  Babys, 06s, Galesi's, Bayards, Berettas and other such rodents.

I have an 1928 August Munz Lilliput in .25 caliber. It has been abused and neglected before I came to own it, so you are lucky to be able to get off two shots in a row. Some day I will get it straightened out. The only story I have about the gun, is that the Pawn shop thought it was a .22. Exciting, isn't it?

Drydock

Just picked this one up, in original box.  Can't say it's unfired, but I doubt a box of rounds has gone thru it.

I would bring the following to the .25 pocket pistol discussion: Wilmer Cook carried a pair of 1911's while his co-conspirators Casper Guttman and Joel Cairo both carried Colt .25s. Wilmer killed Cap Jackoby and Floyd Thursby with his .45s while Guttman and Cairo only casually threatened Sam Spade with their .25 Colts. And of course Spades partner Miles Archer was killed with the infamous '8' shot .45 Webley Fosbery, [oops-the 38s were 8 shot not the 45s which were the usual 6]. I would surmise based on this bit of celluloid trivia that the .25 is only for show while the .45 'weell keell'. Just the observations of a film noir cinema [and Forged in Fire] fan.
And remember, "But I've got the falcon." Which we all know was, "the stuff that dreams are made of."  Not the film's last line as incorrectly thought. Sgt Poulhouse's reply of 'huh?' actually was.

Bat 2919

Quite a jump from Drydock's little .25 to "The Dingus".  I'm amazed it took this long for the bird to show up here.

Sorry for the thread sidebar but Mr. Bat 2919, you seem to be an aficionado of film noir so I'm curious as to who do you think killed the chauffeur Owen Taylor when they crashed the Sternwood's Packard?  The only unexplained murder in the film. We know Joe Brody stole the blackmail film but that's all we know. There weren't any .25s in The Big Sleep but a couple of Colt '03s or '08s and a bunch of Colt double action revolvers.

Damned if you girls don't know how to hi-jack a thread. Merry Christmas; hope Santa leaves a Mouse in your sock!

The Galesi feeds the JHP on the left reliably, but does not the Remington Ball FMJ on the right.
