The Trinity Kid

Morning all.

30 degrees and partly cloudy.  Supposed to get up to 45 today, but I'm not so sure.

Had a psychology test this morning, then another patience test when I got into my truck to go get some more cream for my coffee. Darn thing wouldn't start. Had fuel and battery, but doesn't seem to have spark.  I didn't get around to checking the ignition fuse yet, my fingers were already cold. Probably go check that in a little while.

Hopefully get to fly later today.

Thanks Slim, I'm savoring a Dunkun Donuts blend right now...
I have cut way back on my coffee intake, to about 1 cup a week  :-[  Doc said " in moderation"  as it flairs my knee joint pain  ::)
I have not, adjusted my Ice tea intake , as unsweetened is my only*  drink other than water and a Gatorade once or twice a month.

* in fact no drams of any kind either !  ....

The lady saw bones , I suppose is on to something  :-\ cause knee has been less annoying for several months since I cut back  ???

But chilly mornings scream HOT Coffee....  and speaking of same...
was 47°this morning  headed to 78°.  that's up from the last 2 days at 41°.

PTO today, in fact all the remaining Friday's....4 day work weeks till  2019  ;D.
Headed to my "Toy store & then lunch with my shooting pard"  habit today.

Took another day off today, three day "antlerless only" season starts today. Of course, the only 4 legged critters I saw were small and bushy tailed, both in red and gray varieties. Even though they don't have antlers, they were not on my list....

Just throw this out to the first cousins.   I bought this Spanish made S&W russian copy some years back. It was never 100% - I really never knew the exact caliber- i shot .44 russians from it. . The cylinder never locked up till hammer was pulled back or pressure was put on trigger. Double/single action. Getting harder to pull hammer back and probably needs someone with steady hands to go theu it.  Finish was nickle but mostly gon now. The grips are good and lanyard ring still there.

If any of you are interested gve me a  yell.

Roo, I believe I have the very same pistol, But in Blue, Mine says "For .44 Special or US Service ctg." on the barrel. Will have to dig it out and see what the brand name is.
On top of barrel is "Aranzabal &Erusta, Eibar Espania"

Yes, Eibar was the Gun making capital of Spain.
I got mine from an estate sale of a former Town Police officer(in late 40's -50's)

Yepper ....That is correct,  I looked at an Eibar 12 guage SXS today for my FFL, to value and help him list it.
it was a Charles Harvan import ,  Castillion grade SxS shotgun by  MUGICA, SUC. DE J.C. = Jose Cruz.

Probably early to mid 1960's

If he ever buys a Prius, we'll have to perform an exorcism.

Chilly day in Billings today. Stayed right around 30 all day, with a little breeze.  We're supposed to get around 6" of white tonight, and 4-6" more over the weekend.  We'll see how that pans out.

Officially completed private pilot ground school today.  Not to brag, but I finished in the top 5%.  ::) Now it's could just get weather and airplane availability to line up, we'd be all set.

Glen is a old Hippie i see him in a Prius or One of them little cars from India with a peace sign painted on the side. Of course the big Rand hat would need the brim cut down to fit.  A bowler or the prementioned stocking maybe more suitable. ;)

Coffee is up -

56 this morning and  very wet. Heavy rain throught out the night.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

No foo foo coffee for me when I drink it, which is rare. I prefer black tea.

The local ski hill was lit-up like a Christmas tree last night when I went by. First day of the season. I drive past it to and from verk. Daughters #2 and #3 are working there today as ski instructors.

Taking PTO on Monday to pick up daughter #1 from General Mitchell field. She is coming home from an 11 month missions trip.

'Tis 29 and overcast. "Blustery. A chance of light snow in the morning  then snow in the afternoon. Patchy freezing fog in the morning. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Highs in the middle 30s. East wind 10 to 15 mph shifting to the northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 40 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow near 100 percent."

Tonight: "Blustery. Rain and light snow in the evening  then light snow after midnight. Snow accumulation up to 2 inches. Nearly steady temperature in the mid 30s. Northeast wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 40 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent."

Predicting 5" total.
