Up with sunrise breaking, took the 'ol' 73 for an outing,  only one other person there that early....
It was a humid 77°,  I left when it started to get a crowd and the temps wre pushing 90°.
But it was good time, just finished cleaning up . and making me a BLT samich.

Morning/afternoon all.  Depends on what time zone you're in.  It's 11:45 here.

Currently 75, forecast for 80.  It'll be nice to have a day below 100.  Probably end up walking the dog pretty soon.

The fire claimed another life yesterday.  A PG&E lineman.  The fire is currently at 7 killed, and over 100 with related injuries, from bulldozers rolling to heat exhaustion to heart attacks.

Finally took a pic of the Marlin 1893.
It came with a half length mag tube, but there were problems with it and the mag spring. So, I replaced both with full length. It now hold 8 rounds in the mag.

First try with loads are key-holing. Got a little more work to do.

Had unburned powder in the barrel, too. Ended up increasing the powder charge by 5 grs before the key-holing and unburned powder went away. I was losing light so my group was very good. I'll try it again in better light for grouping.
