Gentlemen, the Div. of Ia. muster will be held on 29-30 Sept. at the Goddard range in Colfax. We are going to try something different this year, the main match will be on Sun. as in the past, but the range will be open at noon on Sat. for the precision stage and side matches. This should allow those traveling to get an earlier start home on Sun. As before this is a no miss match. Round count is approx. 75 rifle and 30 pistol.

One of my favorites, I'll be all Argentine weapons this year.

Damn, I wish you would change the date. I'm probably going to still be in Wyoming elk hunting in

Quickfire , I understand the dilemma, unfortunately we had the chance to lock in our dates for the future after last years match. We were offered the week-end closet to Oct. 1 every year as long as we wanted it. The chance to get out of the heat was to good to pass up. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Al

An update for those attending, Forecast is mid 50's and slight chance of rain on Sat. Upper 50's-low 60's on Sun. Ken is making chili for lunch on Sun. Targets are somewhat smaller this year, check your sights. See ya this week-end, Al.

All loaded up, plan to be up there Friday afternoon and pitch my tent.  Hard to get the old Dauntless this far up the river, but Dynamite Johnny is a determined man.  And Iowa needs all the help it can get against those Minnesotans . . .

Sad to say we won't be making it to IA this year.  :(

I won't make it either. Seems I have too many irons(not shootin' irons) in the fire.

So does this mean you are planning for the 28th & 29th of Sept. again this year?

Same place as 2 years ago?

I've marked it down on the calendar. No elk hunting this year so I should be able to make it

UPDATE- The date of the 2019 IA. Muster is set for 28-29 Sept. As in the past we will have two skirmish stages and precision stages for rifle and handgun. New this year (thanks to the efforts of Major Double) will be a long range event. The main match and precision will be held at the Goddard Cowboys range as in the past, long range will be at the Big Springs complex in Searsboro (about a half hour east of the Goddard range). We will open the Colfax range at 12:00 on Sat. for precision and "happy fire" then those interested can head to the Big Springs facility around 2:00. The main match will commence at 9:30 on Sun. with registration at 8:30. The long range event is optional, anyone not there on Sat. can shoot the precision events on Sun. More details to follow, Al.

You need to make a new thread for this.
