Hello All
Looking to get some custom grips for my new Cimarron 7th cavalry model I have not decided yet as to what material but was wondering
what is prefered as far as the bottom of the grip to bevel or not. Been looking at photos on this site and others and the grips with no bevel
is starting to grow on me  I think they look pretty good what say you. Photos if you can.
Thanks.....quickdraw58

For a grip short enough to require the pinky under hold, such as the Colt Navy and SAA, I like a bevel. For those with enough room for all my digits, such as the 1860, Bisley or Dragoons, flat bottoms.

well, it all depends upon where you are going with it and what *you* want to do....

if one wishes to remain correct to the historical period, one would probably want the bevel.
if one wishes to stay ":old timey" but has small paws, would the square bottom might be more comfortable?

on the other hand if one dances to their own drum...
I myself prefer the pinky groove as demonstrated by our own Tinker Pierce here:

I really like birdsheads and pinky grooves!

Bear in mind that I do not think it will fly with the SASS head honchos ( re rulebook) but I don't shoot SASS for score,
and where I shoot they don't care what you bring as long as it fits the loose definition of a SA cowboy gun lol....

this probably won't help, but I hope it is at least entertaining
