I'll start with my Cimarron/Uberti 1858 Gated Conversion in .45

My wife dubbed this 'The Dandy.'  Home-made conversion in .44 Colt

This is 'The Pug.' Uses a Kirst .45 Colt gated conversion

This one is too new to have a name- home-made five-shot cylinder chambered for .450 Adams. Still need to install the firing pin and cut the loading port.

Very cool, sir!

You might recall this one TL , you traded to me along with $$$$ for the Peck Spencer, do you recall ?
It sported these mircarta grips for short while after I got it from you back in 07, then I swapped back to the refinished OEM grips.

I sold it last year to fund a 32-20 SAA ....

when planets align...do the deal !

I put the pair together for match pistols. They have both been sleeved to .38spl. One is an R&D drop-in and one a Kirst conversion.

The other pistol is a Beals wannabe. I shaped the loading lever and tapered a stainless sight to resemble the Beals from the side. It needs a few other mods to really look like a Beals but this was made for a match backup pistol so it's not going to get much more done to it for now. It has a .45 Colt R&D drop-in cylinder.

EDIT: These are all made by Uberti.

Remmies don't fit my hands, but I snapped a pic of this nice one that shipped to Vermont back in 2010.

Bringing back this picture thread.  Anyway, another excuse to look at Tinker Pearce's very cool guns.  BTW, he hasn't been on CASCity since 2021, hope he's okay.  Some pics above got deleted with the last server change.  So let's get some more pictures going here.  Long Johns, Marshall Will and Major 2, maybe y'all can add your pics back that were deleted.  Rube, I know you've got some you can add here. I added back in the nickeled conversion picture above that had disappeared.  And 15 years after taking that picture, I have two pairs of Remingtons now  :)  I may not be able to comfortably shoot them duelist style but two handed is no problem.  I won some stainless Piettas which I plan to convert, right now working on the horrendous action. I will post a picture here of those after they are converted. Meanwhile, I got these Cimarron New Model Navy conversions in .38 with Arizona Custom grips.

Those look mighty fine, Abilene. The AZ Custom grips really add a touch of class.

I notice my previous post doesn't have the photos to accompany it.

The Kirst. I made the ejector to look as original as  possible. I couldn't remove the recoil shields because of how much frame material Uberti already took off around them.

The R&D.

And the Beals Wannabe.

That's a nice assortment, Marshall.  What did you do to the ejector?  Looks like the old stye (like original Remington) Kirst ejector, I'm not real familiar with that one.  I know the Uberti factory ejector is very authentic except for no checkering on the head.

Who lined your bores?  I've been wanting to get that done to an Uberti but don't know anyone who does it any more.

Regarding Kirst vs R&D.  Do you have a preference?  Obviously there is the convenience factor with the gated one.  I have not yet decided which route to go on my Piettas.  I will probably not be shooting these too much (too many other guns) and the R&D's cost less, but that is not a main concern.
