I have some rem. model 8s are they appropriate for this forum?
beware of the man who has only one gun, he probably knows how to use it.....

I would think so, the model 8 goes back to 1906 I have one from 1908 and 1927 and 1933 the WSL are acceptable. I did have a couple of them in 351 and 401 but let them go a few years ago,,,,,,,

I'm not totally up on Zoot rules, but I expect the Mod 8 won't work for matches, since it's a full power rifle cartridge, unless they have a long range or paper target stage.

Pony hit it on the head.  The rifle caliber Remington s 8 and 81 are allowed in long range AZSA side matches only.  They are too powerful for the up close and personal main match Capers (stages).
