I am facing the same thing here...after 18 years it looks like the company may go under.  There is an all-staff meeting this Thursday.

Got some fire activity out here.  One is just a few miles away from the big fire we had here last year. Lightning strike.  The other was from a sparking trailer on the highway.  That one is at 1500 acres and 0% containment, lot of evacuations and at least one structure lost I've heard.

Update on the fire.  The town of French Gulch, Ca is practically gone.  The local VFD is trying hard to keep the historic 1850s built hotel and saloon from burning down, but they were losing last I heard.
A friend of mine lived in the town, but not anymore.  All he has left is the clothes he has on and his dog that a deputy rescued from the burning tree it was tied to.  So he's coming up to stay on our property once they open the highway.

Btw i have been eating these small duck eggs. They are slowly getting  larger... they are very delicious.  Not strong like some folks claim. Maybe some of the ither breeds are. However these runner ducks seem to be mild. If you do a lot of baking they are a good choice also.  Don't be afraid to try them, if someone iffers some to you.

TK, watch out for those fires. I heard on the news they were evacuating part of Yosemite Park. Is that a different fire?

Slim: I've read pretty much everything Louis Lamore wrote, multiple times over, but it's been years ago, so I don't recall the plot of McClintock, but LL tended to write about actual places in his stories, so it probably is. It's a really big area, surrounded by a flat valley. Extreme SW corner of Colorado. Highest spot in the park is over 8,300 feet. LOTS of cliff dwellings and other ancient ruins, which often played a part in his stories.

On the way home again, stopped overnight in Dodge. Nice to be back at the lower elevations again. Finally caught my breath again.

Hey ya'll.... sometime back before this mess with job... i decided my health was too bad for shooting Cowbow or any other any timed event.
So i now am going to start listing some things.  I will give you all first Dibbs.  I have a person interested in my Dillon and much of the modern ammo equipment and components. But i haven't seen his money yet either  
I am trying to put a list together...

And i found these 2 that might interest some of you here.the black box is CH  2 piece 41 colt die set. One is a bullet sealer.

The second set is .38 long colt rcbs 3 piece set

Neither has a case holder. But a .38 special will hold both i believe. Kind of slips me.

Evening all.  I have the fire up for you night dwellers.

Long day today.  Up at 0600, and on the road at 0745, headed to the north of the county for a hike with the 4-H club.  4 miles in and 1500 feet up to a 3 acre mountain lake.  We didn't get home until 1845. 

PE, Yosemite is a few hours south of me.  Been there a few times.  Always sad when it burns, but I guess that's nature.
