There is one local at it's away at the big local show.  English built so not common in the US.

A lot of old planes started the same way.

Ever seen a Diesel that had a carb and distributor and plugs?  Go a manual valve in the head, open it and  you have like  6-1 ratio, then when the temp gauge gets to operating temp you close it and it's now Diesel.

Always get the water for the coffee upstream from the herd.

German made Lantz Bulldog with a hot bulb engine, needs a blow torch to start it.

Might not be good in a dry wheat field. ::)

The Aircraft starter was called the  Coffman engine starter or Coffman patent as other versions were used.
Like in the British Merlin engine used in the Spitfire.

My dad had a Farmall WD9 like that. It would blow smoke rings when ya switched it to diesel.

'Tis 63, overcast and 88% humidity. "Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers in the morning. Highs in the upper 70s. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent."

Chances of rain today.

The chance of rain turned into hurry up and finish feeding chores this morning.  Then as many of us older guys know, we cut and bruise with just minor bumps of anything.  Pouring rain to text my bride to bring some 1st aid to me. Had blood everywhere, from a scratch that did not need stiches or further medical attention. First site one may have thought i cut my hand off.  My wife did not panic either, she is use to me.

Chores are done and the sun popped out for a few minutes. I looked over the blueberries.  Also looked at my Fig and have fruit on it now.  Back in the A/C now.

2nd picture is a blueberry plant HyBush variety. Have RabbitEye also.

Afternoon all.

Currently 80 headed for 95.  Clear blue skies right now, but they're calling for rain and lightening up in the high country later in the afternoon.

I think I may have found a solution to the bugs that are eating the garden.  I minced six cloves of garlic and steeped them in a solution of 1qt water and 3tsp salt  for three days.  Then I took two tbsp of that and diluted it in another quart of water and sprayed that on my plants.  Nothing got munched last night, so it's so far so good.

Something is up with the radio in my truck.  It used to be that the only stations it would pick up reliably were the local pop country station and a gangster rap station on the coast.  I went with the wannabe country, and everything was okay.  Yesterday, the country station just straight up disappeared, but now the current light rock station comes in clear as a bell.  The two are quite a ways apart (97.3 and 106.1) so I'm not sure what is going on.

Asian backlash & global warming - Seriously super heated dash kills them !

Cost less to replace them than repair them today !

Aren't any Radio's made in the USA ...by Ford or any other Domestic Automaker....  what was Philco (Ford) & AC Delco (GM) are Asian these days.

in fact ....98 % of all Auto makers , Import or Domestic  use Asian ....Even Blaupunkt  ( German Autos ) are Asian made.

Look at your Cell Phones , Computers, TV's  ETC.... read Pacific Rim
