Morning y'all.
Thanks for the iced tea.

Happy Father's Day.

Had to put in the window A/C units today. Early in the season, we can get the house cool enough at night with window fans to be tolerable through the day.. But the heat just seems to build up gradually, to the point that won't work. Today was that point.

The Trinity Kid

I'll toss some water on for the night crew.

Today was cloudy with a high of 85 and 40% humidity.  As of 00:30 it is raining, too.

Took my dad to IHOP for father's day.  Nobody got any burgers.  Actually, their "Tres Leches" pancakes were pretty good.

The Sweetwater Regulators had their first match of the 2018 season yesterday. Five shooters braved the 96 plus degree heat indices. We survived by pacing ourselves and drinking lots of fluids. We moved a portable canopy from stage to stage for shade and that helped a lot also.

I'll need to get used to this kind of weather. We have our home up for sale and as soon as it is sold, we will be moving to Florida.

My best bud moved to Sarasota from Baltimore. I tried to tell him that there's gators, sinkholes, zika skeeters, anacondas, hurricanes and old people, did I mention gators, but he moved anyway. Be warned Johnny, be warned.

I'm also kinda curious about your club, are you a newly formed club? A displaced club? How is it that you're are you having your 'first' match? Congratulations if you are a new club. I would encourage you to be a sass/WASA club to appeal to as large a group of shooters as possible.

Howdy Ed,
Thanks for the warning. We a have a son in St. Petersburg. He will be able to take care of my wife down the road if something happens to me.

The Sweetwater Regulators has been an official NCOWS Posse since 2015. This was our first match of the 2018 season. Here is a link to the Sweetwater Regulator's website: www.sweetwaterregulators.com

Howdy Slim,

It's modern, uses those new fangled "self contained" cartridges. Wild Bill Hickok would not approve.....
