Rains have abated , at least in this vicinity...but new storms will roll in this afternoon.

What's the event Del.... are you using the new Chuck wagon ?

The storms have started back up here now.  Our ducks still don't mind it but everything else has seeked shelter for now.

Afternoon all.

71 here right now, heading for 80.  Not a cloud in sight.

Deer got into one of my garden patches yesterday.  Ate all six of the sunflowers, two bean plants and trampled the one pumpkin that had sprouted.  Lucky me.

I was just informed today that I'll be attending a funeral tomorrow, so that kind of takes the wind from one's sails.

Storms returned as expected , rained steady from 5pm till about 7p then spurts till 10p, cleared up this morning but won't last.
For my 1st. day of Vacation ....
No plans or agenda, might go to the toy store and/or tinker in reloading room,  pretty tame stuff today.

X-over needs washing but that will have to wait till the rain cycle stops ,  same for a range visit  :(

Good morning folks. Another hot one. But it's supposed to cool off next week. Need to do some reloading and load development this week. Getting low on my rifle 45 lc. Still working on a load for my krag/ scout rifle build but it's been too hot. No fun shooting in the heat or cold. And soon all of those skeeters will hatch out with all the water that's in the ditches, oh boy. 'Skin so soft'  keeps them away pretty good.

Afternoon all.

Sunny and 70 right now.  Head for 90 in town.

It seems that the funeral I was supposed to be going to was rescheduled, so instead of that I've been drafted into a city trip.  It's only forecast for 102 down there, so I don't know why I'm worried.  :-\

I'm planning a trip to the fun toy store while I'm down there.  I need a new "tactical" backpack for search and rescue.  Our new medical and survival kits attach with MOLLE gear, and in the interest of across the board familiarity the lieutenant wants all of us to attach both in the same way/place: on the webbing med on left and survival kit on right.  Alrighty then.
I also need to pick up some new hollow point 9mm.  I burned four of my ten remaining Hydra Shoks on a rattlesnake last night (he tasted good over an oak fire).  I'm thinking I'll try some TAC-XPD from Barnes, since those should work well through my dad's short barrel too.

Now if you'll excuse m, I'm going to walk my dog before having to leave.

Was going to cast up some .45 cal bullets this morning-before it got hot. Instead spent too much of the day trying to coax the Mighty Mail Blazer to hit on all six cylinders-unsuccessfully.

Uh Oh !   :(

My plans altered a might also....the visit to the Cell phone store was successful, easy fix a few strokes of a little nylon brush to clear the lint , sawdust  etc. and viola I can hear  :D  that's outta the phone speaker slot not me   ::)
Toy Store was uneventful, nothing in my immediate area of wishful obtainium  :-\

I  passed on BBQ for a roast beef sub from Publix ( for those not familiar, its a Florida-Ga. chain of Super Markets, the deli makes a jam up variety of subs or wraps and at bargain prices )

Which leads me to today ,  no rain...so far  ???  ...."SHE that shell be obeyed " is going to the SKY PILOT's oratory with a lady friend.
I figure to load some 8MM Lebel.
