Hello,

Any of you other fellas using 160 gr. or 180 gr. slugs out of your 45's?

Are you getting the accuracy you need? What powder are ya shooting?

I was using 160s and Stump still is in both pistols and rifles.  Accuracy is good, no problem feeding in any of the '73s.  Using Red Dot powder.

I was loading 160's and currently 165's in .45, only use it for my pistols, use 200's for my rifle to make sure I don't have jam.  I originally loaded Clay's and never had a problem.  I shoot Goex BP now and haven't experienced any problems there either.  Accuracy depends on a lot of factors so the best thing to do is test several different powder amounts to find which gives you the best results for whatever powder brand you choose.  To me that is part of the fun, tweaking your loads to get the performance you desire.  Have fun and be safe.
If ya can't be fast it's good to be Lucky!
