I'm looking at replacing the recoil springs in my Tommy Gun. I have trouble pulling the bolt all the way back. Has anyone had any experience with the kit sold by TommyGunner.com?  Do you have to use reduced loads with it? I know it comes with a buffer, but does the reduced springs cause any damage to the receiver (mine is steel)? The kit is not cheap, but I don't feel comfortable handling the gun as it is. It's hell getting old!!

I am looking at it too, as the springs from the factory are 'enthusiastic" to say the least! Accorcing to the guys using them on Machinegun Boards the kit works well.

How much is this spring kit and where can I find them?

Once you get the bolt back leave it back. You are supposed to load it with the bolt back (insert mag).
Works just fine. Also just fine to shoot cast lead bullets.
