Finally got one of the guns I won. Bought one $10 ticket from Happy Trails Foundation, and won a matched pair of antiqued '75 Remmingtons in 45lc, and a set of Will  Ghormley holsters, that were worn by Brad Pitt in the new Jessie James movie.
Now, I have to wait another 3 weeks before I can register the other Remmie.
Anyways, thanks Happy Trails, this is probably the first thing I have ever won...

Curley that now needs to join SCORRS..

Now, wood ya lookee there?  Damned nice prize ya got, pard.  Congratulations.

Did they slick 'em (it) up or just out of the box?  Not that it makes a bit of difference, just curious......

All I did was name it 'n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

Curley Cole

They ain't "slicked up", but for a $10 investment guess I can't complain too much...It takes a bit of gettin used to the Remmies, But Old Top said he would be real happy to help me wear them down..(as that is his gun of choice, except in 44/40..)

I am dang happy with 'em..

Bull,

You bet, when I gets the other one will take a more suitable pix, I just had to "show it off" a bit as soon as I could.

And now, I guess I will be officially joining SCORRS.....(You know Old Top was excited about my win, except he would have prefered 44/40)  But for a $10 inventment I surely can't complain a bit...

$10 investment ya say?

I'll gi' ya $20 fer 'em.   "Ca-ching!"  Ya doubled yer money!!

Curley Cole

Naw, I think I'll hold out, Old Top might even offer me $30 for 'm...<g> Actually, I am proud to have them, and I have read that Will is having a good deal of trouble with arthritis, so he may not be making many more holsters, so think may just hold on to them and pass them on to my Jr.....

But thankye for the kind offer...it would double my investment wouldn't it..ahaaaaaaa

Looking foward to seein how these dang '75 shoot, and see why Top and all you SCORRS folks are so fond of them...<g>

Hey Curley!
Dang fine prize there. Did I understand the post right, that these pistols and holsters were worn by Brad Pitt in "Jesse James"? If so they would probably be worth mucho dinero to movie memorabilia collectors! You could then buy several sets of 75's, or Open Tops or....

Congratuations on our prize, Will Ghormley does fine work, I've got a set of his holsters also, but the last I heard from him, he had to retire from leather work (at a very young age) because of health problems....
