May 4, 5, 6 are the dates for the J.B. M. match. It will follow the same format as previous years. Fri. Set up and pick-up side matches. Sat. main match which this year is " This ain't  no S^*t II". As close to real historical gunfights as we can make them. A revolver and rifle will be all you need to bring There is a stage that will use a shotgun but it will be supplied with ammo if you don't want to haul one. Sun. is the NCOWS double action championship. Consists of 3 stages, 15 shots Must be an NCOWS legal double action revolver. This year Dave Sielert will be in Iowa taking level 2, 4-H Western Heritage training, so everyone will be on there own hook for chow. Speaking of W.H.P. 2 new groups are starting in KS.  Bring any old west stuff that "shrunk" or you just don't use anymore to donate to the new groups. T-shirts will be given to donors. if they can't directly use it we will auction it off. Kids size clothes would be especially helpful.
Any questions? post them here, someone else may also want to know.     jt

Hey Trap,
Going to definitely going to try and make the Saturday portion.   What are you looking for on the W.H.P.?   clothing, I do not have, but I have a holster or two, a knife/sheath, gourd canteen that has never been used and a belt pouch.   You need any of those?

One way or another we can make that happen.

We have been successful in establishing a 4-H Western Heritage Project in Johnson County, Kansas.  That means more 4-H Youth being instructed in our sport and heritage right here at ground zero.  The three newly certified instructors, David Birk, Michael Tatham and Josh Smith are holding a fund raiser in conjunction with the Jerry Barnes Memorial Shoot for needed firearms, ammunition, timers, steel targets, hangers, safety glasses, ear plug and hard cases.  We will only use .22's for the first year.  As a start up, we have no funds.  We have 25 T-shirts for those who donate equipment, funds, or period correct clothing for our youth.  We ask you to please live generously.  Youth are the future of our sport and Kansas Vigilance Committee are leaders in bringing in a new generation to our sport.  Thank you.

Can you use a Henry Repeating Arms H001 lever action 22?  I have one that appears new in box I can donate to the 4H program as the first rifle, but if you need it as a fund raiser item, I'm OK with that, Col Diamond.
