Corned beef ain't Irish.

Everyone should be eating lamb or mutton.

Taters will likely blight and you'll starve kid. ;D

Saint Patrick wasn't natural born Irish either, yet here we are.  ::)

I got a 3x6 patch of potatoes in yesterday.  I planted in soil that is primarily composed of good compost and rabbit droppings, and as the year wears on I'll add more dirt on top.  From past experiments, that didn't seem to make the plant any more productive, but it kept the plant healthier.

Off to church in a few minutes, then back home to break soil for planting climbing beans and sunflower over the next couple weeks.

What ever, only had about a 1/2 dozen s!art enough to understand the orange.

One a real Irish/Catholic loved it.  He asked if I was Ulster Prot.  Told him I was 1/4 Scots Irish and  most of the rest English.   He said we are one of the few that really understand.

Skipped church this morning.  I think i will be forgiven.  Prepared the old dog kennel so the ducks could come out of the brooder and have a bigger soace to grow a few weeks. Got it done ahead of the bad weather that is pending.  The ducks seemed to like it but not sure about going under provided shelters. The kennel has a sun shade but no roof for rain. But they are ducks.

Afternoon all.

City trip went well.  My sister made sure the whole family met one her friend's new girlfriend, so I guess that was important?

Got home and did some digging out front.  I planted a couple of black turtle beans to see if they would grow.  They're just beans in a package from WinCo, so I don't think they will, but we'll find out in a about two weeks.

TK, last year we planted a couple of rows of ordinary pinto beans from Wal Mart. they grew and well and made about 3 half gallon mason jars of dry beans.

Will do fine, much cheaper way to get seed.  Always did the same when I grew dill.

Afternoon all.

65 and partly cloudy in California today.  Just got back from walking the dog.  We did about 4-5 miles, which is longer than our normal 3 miles, but still shorter than our record of 18.  For what that's worth.

I stayed up way too late editing that book last night.  But I got chapter 16 done.  18 more to go.

Thanks for the tea Roo, I need it this morning, Had to get up at 6:00 this morning to go babysit my grand daughter, Mom had to be at work at 7:00 because of the 4th Nor'easter in 6 weeks that "MAY" hit us depending on a 50 mile variance in a low pressure system off the coast... ::) ::) ::)

Afternoon all.

Weather can't make up its mind.  When I got up it was sunny, now it's a 6000 foot cloud deck.

Dad is home from work sick today, and my sister is staying home from school for the same reason.  I'm just glad I got over the stuff they have already.
