Passed on the SXS ....the consignor is just to attached to to it...
he figures someone will pay his price....wished him luck...
Truthfully,  I was not all that Ga Ga to have it at or near his asking and I'm fine without it anyway...

Another warm day in the mid 80's .... no rain foretasted , so I suppose no cold front's in the near future.

I've seen one or two Coyotes here in my pasture,   but its rare ,
not because they are sparse , just that they very clever to avoid being seen.

Seen one downtown one cold Sunday morning.

Going out to eat early and miss the crowd.  We looked at cards at the store last night and smelled the roses.  Saved enough to go out tonight. ;D

Just had a coffee and scone with my Valentine- then a stop at feed store. Order baby chicks.... that is true love right there :D

We'll have supper out later then tomorrow is her oldest son's birthday, we'll probably go out for steak or bbq.

Heating element went out in oven...i think no big deal, i bought a replacement a few years back at Blue Box Store. So went out during evening rush hour yesterday to the local store. Got to location and could not find one. I then hunt down associate, they looked at me like a deer in the headlights. After calling another employee i learned they no longer stock thise parts.  He gave me a number to their parts and service. I called and adventually was able to find someone that could look up the parts.  The gentleman says they dont list that model anylonger.  I told him, i bet you $20- that same element fits a hundred models. He started looking, i was right. New one is on the way. If i live long enough to replace it, it will be with a gas model.

Did my V-day shopping and surprising last night. My 2nd grader had "cheer camp" at school last week, and now they get to cheer at a ball game that got weather delayed twice, and finally will be played tonight at 6pm, so I figured there might be no "shopping time" this afternoon.

Roo, when you trade in that newfangled electric oven on a gas one, you'll find they're all newfangled too. No more pilot lights. All replaced by electronic igniters. Not to fear, though, the same igniter fits hundreds of stoves. Ebay and Amazon have them by the bushel basket. Just have to cut the plug off and use the included wire nuts to hook up. There's probably no need to ask how I know.

Also known as VD.  Penicillin was introduced to the world on this day in 1936.

We went to the store last night, smelled the roses, showed each other a cute card, then bought useful stuff.  She got some craft gadget on sale a couple weeks ago, I stopped at the hardware store and bought about $30 worth of sandpaper.

Thanks for the Coffee....Slim.  I imagine a coyote there would have a much nicer coat than the ones here have.
The coat looked real good. A lot better than in the summer.

Coffee is up.

Few summers back when we rescued these 2 german shepards, one may have mistaken them for coyotes. Not today though. ;)

Glen you got a pile of wood shaping to do.

Picking up new Pullets (female chickens) today.  Getting a variety of breeds. These won't lay eggs before fall.

Afternoon all.

Temperature is hovering around 50 today, maybe 1-2 clouds over to the east.  Got a little rain last night, but not enough to write home about.
I spent $30 for Valentine's day... Had to renew my dog license.  I guess being single saved me having to spend more money, so I have that going for me. ::)

I've got some beef thawing in the sink right now, getting ready to be turned into a stew.

Guess I'll have to hunt up some more walnut, nephew got me some saw blades. ;D

Will cut into blanks as I have time.

He asked the saw operator if he had any old blades, guy said he did and asked why.  Nephew told him his uncle makes knives out of them, the guy said he never thought of that.  Nephew told him that's cause he wasn't as s!art as his uncle.

Good kid, was raised right.  Foreman at a place that cuts and ships stone slabs.  Was hired a few years back to be foreman at 25.
