What's with all the Spencer serial #s?  Do you buy them all?  Are you doing this for friends? I'm gonna have to charge you big bucks in the future for serial # information

You asked about Spencer Rifle serial # 3004 - All I can tell you is the following, so you have to decide which unit works for your serial # request

My SRS Books show the following:

Spencer Rifle  serial #3017 - issued to Company B, 9th Michigan Volunteer Cavalry on January 1, 1865  or
Spencer Rifle  serial #2994 & serial # 3018 - issued to the 6th Independent Company, Ohio Volunteer Sharpshooters in 1863 (no day or month shown)
