"Winchester" looks interesting, too.

We went to see it today. Very authentic clothes and guns. R rated because a lot of
violence.

"R rated because a lot of violence"(probably period correct), and 3 or 4 F bombs that I didn't even notice! (must be part of my normal vocabulary?)  A group of the Blue River Regulators went to the show yesterday also, dressed old west, as a social event for our club. I think the movie and meal afterwards was enjoyed by all!
It is far better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt!

I went to see Hostiles for the second time last Tuesday. It was playing at a local "budget" theater for $1.50 including free popcorn. I took Mrs. McCrae. She was pleasantly surprised and liked it.

I liked it the first time and even more the second time.

Yes saw it in the U.K., photography and scenes were fantastic a very enjoyable movie, only slight let down was that at times it was difficult to follow the dialogue something I find increasingly more prevalent with modern films

We noticed that too. Also sometimes the action in modern films is so fast that it's impossible to follow.

Watched it last night. It was good. A few historical inaccuracies from a military standpoint, but overall I really enjoyed it.

The only frustration I felt was there were times it felt like Hollywood was preaching again but trying to do it in a way that we wouldn't notice as preaching.

I enjoyed the movie— I could live with the trooper using a Spencer in 1892( I love my Spencer's). I would suggest that this is not a good first date choice!

Pitspitr

seemed to me there were quite a few problems with the 1892 date.

I just got the DVD and enjoyed it. My take is that it was a movie about PTSD in the 19th Century when they didn't know there was such a thing as PTSD, and about forgiveness, something we all need...and need to practice.

Yes there were inaccuracies. I have yet to see a western movie without them so that didn't ruin what was other wise a thoughtful story.
