Afternoon all.

Cloudy in California today.  Our food is in the beginning stages of cooking right now.  Mostly pies and other deserts today.

Y'all have a good Thanksgiving.

I've been meaning to pick some up.  Haven't gotten around to it yet.  Maybe tomorrow I'll remember.  They have a pretty good YouTube channel, as well.

Took the dog for a walk about 8-10 miles today, out along the fire break from this summer.  I hadn't been that far up that particular canyon before, so it was pretty interesting.  Came a cross a bear, so I might try to go get him over the weekend.

My wife and I had dinner with my son, his wife, 6 year old daughter and 18 year old grandson yesterday. Today, my spiral ham is done, potato salads in the fridge cooling, green beans, dressing and gravy next. Due to my wife stroke I do the cooking nowdays. Don't care for turkey but I do like gravy and dressing. Got a pumpkin pie and a ny cheesecake for desert. The big deal this year will be on Saturday. We've invited about 40 of our friends over for md crab soup and sandwiches for a 'No more mortgage payments party". This months the last payment!! About time and MORE disposable income!

Successful T-day. Everybody ate seconds!!

Headed to work soon, volunteered, may head to the shop for a bit to escape the cluster mess in my house.

Made them rolls, wish they'd all go somewhere and let me do it all.  Hurts my head to see making such a simple task so complicated.

We were invited to a really big get together of one of the families from our church. So big they had the dinner at the church in the gym. As least 100 people were there.  Their family tradition is skeet shooting after dinner, so I brought Dad's Rem 11/48 and Grandpa's Mod 12, bot 16ga. And 3 1/2 boxes of assorted shells. Was hitting good with the 11/48 MOD choke until the #8 shot ran out, couldnT break many with the 6s. Changed to the full choke mod12 then, just let them fly out further before shooting. I have about 3 shells left and a slightly tender shoulder, at the end we were sending the kids out to fine the unbroken birds to re shoot them.

Made it to Marshfield without hiding a deer.

Why woukd you hide a deer?

Coffee is up for those of you that can still move this morning.

Drive home from SIL's was tiring 2 plus hours normally had a accident south east of here held us up some. Not hot on fried turkey- had roasted turkey available and Ham. There were New Americans there, they were once from Dominican Republic. They brought dishes also. Different salads and a rice dish. However they learned about candid sweet potatoes. There first Thanksgiving as Citizens. Christian Conservatives to boot.
Is sweet potato pie a main course dish or dessert?

Monday for me- plant will be down so i will hang Christmas light around. The Security control shack.
