Are you selling it, or did you buy it? If you just bought it what are the details; i.e. specifications, history, and intended use.

Naw, If you look at the date I posted that, you'll see it was in September.

I'm buying it. It has a half scale bore and I intend to make noise with it and maybe try making some canister loads, but most likely just as a noise maker. The history is that a friend inherited it when His brother died. They had each built carriages, One for this howitzer and the other for a parrot. I had always wanted a howitzer as in 1865 2 howitzers had crossed my land (or at least were certainly within 1 mile of my land) with the Powder River Expedition. I had told Colin that if the howitzer ever came up for sale I wanted to buy it, but he forgot and 1 day I drove past his house and it was in the front yard with a sign on it. Fortunately I worked out a deal with him before anybody else made an offer. I don't know enough about reproduction howitzers and so, gave more than I should have, but I'm still happy to have it. We'll use it as the Morning and night gun at the Grand Army of the Frontier Grand Musters.

How is the refit coming Jerry ?
Honestly, with having given too much for it, I haven't started refitting it yet. It'll probably be next winter before I'll be able to afford to spend any money refitting it.
