Fastest I've ever been, was 140 on a 73 Honda 750 Four, and that was with a fairing, and it spewing oil down my leg. I used to zip up and down I-95 every now and then, and occasionally down the white line between semis. That was when it got real interesting.

Well I had this for around that speed. But no fairing. ;D
At top speed I was shaking my head like a madman.
There's a much younger version of me having coffee on the left corner.

Evening all.

Fire burned another 500-1000 acres today.  They hadn't finished mapping when I got off at 1800.  But those were the guesses.

And, my new job is......

Radio Comms.  So today was day one of training, which involved paperwork, and sitting in an air conditioned trailer taking supply orders over the radio.  Not too bad.
The downside is, I'll be working 13+ hour days, 6 days a week.  Though the overtime will be nice.

Major, hope the winds and waters keep back from you.

That a KZ1000 or 900? I had 2 or 3 of the KZ750 twins, and man those were great bikes! I called them Japanese Triumphs. They would top out around 120, but even in 5th, you twist the wick and it was like a nitros boost. And, they would go ANYWHERE! I spent almost as much time off road as I was on the road. I used to chase dirtbikers with them. Oh, the stories I could tell about the fun I had with them!

Delmonico

Not really for the general public, but thought some folks here might be interested.

Got 3 cooking related pages on FB, sister groups as it were.

Any way anything gets posted like recipes kinda is hard to keep sorted. Went out and took the bull by the horns and build a forum board for our recipes.   Core bunch in the groups are tight knit like we are, Stu was a big part of them.  Anyway as I think it over I will in time add other than recipe boards and I think our group will move away from FB and more to our own board.

Been live for about 36 hours and have a little over 30 members and have transferred some of my good info over.

Anyway if anyone is interested:

Rain here today, then supposed to get sun with high 60's low 70's. Have our state championship coming up in 9 days, hopefully the weather will hold out for it. Y'all have a good one.

Evening all.

I spent the day in a trailer again today.  But alas, the department who says no, said no to my transfer to comms.  So, I'm back at the lookout tower until at least Saturday.  Then on Monday, we'll see where I end up.  Until then, I'll be choking on smoke and reading books.

You be careful in the tower...

Coffee is up.

Got a load of panels coming today so we can extend  the goat grazing. Going to build a green house out of two of them. We'll have plenty to do the next few weeks.

Panels did not arrive today. It was a beautiful day anyways and was able to be outside and do a few things.

I know how a target feels  :(
I hear ya. We got it bad in Ought 5, moved out of Fla a few years later. Now it looks like it wants to track straight over us. I hear New Mexico is nice this time of year...

Major 2

I think you mean 2004 ...4 Hurricanes battered the state of Florida

Charlie Cat. 3 hit the west coast and roared thought the center of the State.  Followed by Frances & Jeanne  finally IVAN.

Charlie, Frances & Jeanne were direct hits in Central Florida with the eyes crossing the same real-estate  26 miles SW west of my location...

THIS one will cross that T  as it tracks straight up the center of the State.....Atlanta GA. is now threatened.

THIS one is way worse  we will get the EYE wall yet again  :o

The roads are parking lots ....People evacuating the Key's & S. Fla....now are being chased out of State ...

Florida Turnpike, I-95 & 1-75 are reversed as South Bound lane are closed  to run NORTH bound.

when planets align...do the deal !
