Interesting in that he's carrying a cap 'n' ball in 1901.

Likely a prop for the Old Settlers Parade.

Rounds in the belt appear to be 45-70.

Super interesting.  Same cartridge belt but two completely different holsters.  I'd really like to have a shirt like that one.

Ain't hard, just make a standard bib shirt and make a larger collar to button down.  Need to take a picture of what I have added to every bib shirt I have made and yes I can document it.

Hmm, I notice the original poster has not returned to comment on the suggestions received here or the identical question he posed to the NCOWS forum.

It appears that he hasn't been on this site in nearly A WEEK!  I don't know how people do that--I check in about 50 times a day (when I'm busy)  ;D

I agree with Delmonico, though, it's well worth it, even if he drops out.

In the next few days when I have time to dig in my files I have some real interesting ones including a bib shirt with a band collar as well as men's shirts that button up in the back.

OK one of the button in the back shirts.   Omer Madison Kem sod house Broken Bow, Nebraska 1886, (note how nice it is we have location, time and even a name).

No buttons in front, this style seemed to have some popularity in the later 1880's and into the 90's.

Yes, I'm guessing the watermelon is bitter, the reason the kids are making faces, often happens in hot dry weather and Omar must sharpen his knife on his foot cranked grindstone.   ;)

I'll find some more, had some nice photobucket files but they are holding them hostage, can't hardly even open the pictures let alone link them.

Had enough, that rodeo hat with the groment side vents was enough for me. Erhaps he should just hire one of us to help.  Take more than just a post I think. ;)

Delmonico ---A sewn 45/70 belt goes 15 rounds to the foot - I can see 30 in the pic (if its a full belt under the holster) makes this skinny built guy two foot from hip to hip - how tall is he? 6'3"or so would make it right I guess - the proportions work better for me if its 38/55 hes carrying - heaven forbid!!! maybe he got one of them new fangled smokeyless shootin winchester 94's hid there someplace?

Went through the Butcher Collection today and down-loaded a bunch of shirt pictures, will go through them as I have time.  Goes against the grain of what a lot of CAS people think.   Found more button in back than banded collars.
