Never heard of them. They must be a regional thing?

I haven't heard of those either. When I was growing up, the ones to get were Kitty Clover, preferably Ozark BBQ flavor.

Never heard of Kitty Clover either. When I was growing up, there was Lays, and Charles Chips in the big can. And there was only one flavor, potato. Later on, there were Pringles, also in one flavor, potato.

Delmonico

Lots of brands of regional chips.  Nasty things, ain't fit to eat anyway.

El Peludo

Used to find them in most stores on the west coast, but haven't seen them in years; checked the Shearer's site, and they are not available in the west any more - didn't dig too deep, though.

Haven't you ever heard of Cow Chips?  ::)

When I was growing up ... Way Out West ... Their TV commercials had this "cowboy" wearing an enormous "Cowboy Hat."  Seem'd sorta funny for something called "Granny Goose."  They were really good chips though.

Chuck, remind me next year at the muster on Tuesday when we have just the work crew and I'll make some of the old time ones fried in lard.  I'll get one of those mandolin things to slice them.

I loved that song! I actually had the 45 when it came out after Every Which Way But Loose... or the sequel, I don't remember which. It was a loooooong time ago. She rode into town, on a moped she called Flame, Yipeekaiyay, Cow Patty!

Hey Del,

There is a small restaurant here in Pennsyltuckey, not too far from Pittsburgh that make their own "chips."  Much thicker than what you get in a supermarket bag, fried in lard, impossible to eat just one.  I go thru a whole basket of em.  Some kind of tasty.

Hey Del -
make certain you have and use the "hand guard" that comes with the mandolin. Prof Smarty here snipped off the tips of 2 fingers
because he didn't need to use it :-(

Best in the west...the east...around the world???

Sterzings were shipped to Vietnam troops back in the day and now are shipped to Iraq and Afghanistan men and women. I have been all over the US and have not found any chips that will beat these. You would have to try a bag, then order a pallet load. HA!HA!

Have offered friends and strangers a handful and from then on they are hooked.....
