Jerry has a check in the mail to me for those who paid for meals with the registration.   I am going to start shopping the sales here for some of the supplies and of course will buy a lot of the fresh foods including much of the meat in Sargent, it's easier I I like to help local business.

As the last couple years I'm asking 8$ per meal and will start having meal by supper on Monday for those coming up to help set up.

Anyone who wants to send a check to me for meals my address is

Glen Carman
731 Garfield
Lincoln NE 68502-2024

If you are not sure how many meals you will be eating you can pay me then, but cash is handy since it's can't be banked from there and I will admit I don't have a lot of ready cash.

Am looking forward to seeing everyone there and if anyone has any ideas of what they would like to have for meals let me know so I can prepare.   We will of course do the ever popular meat loaf for one meal and Sunday morning will be the ever popular Biscuits and Gravy that have become our tradition.

Any special needs please let me know, I am glad to work around these I understand food allergies and rest assured for those with the penicillin allergy there will be nothing made with moldy cheeses do to what even touching the dang stuff can do to the cook.

Planning on bringing sourdough starter and doing some sourdough breads.

Got a couple new dishes I'm adding this year as always.

Glen,  Would appreciate some calorie- free desserts but will understand if there is a problem with that. Food has always been wonderful at the Grand Musters of days gone by (except the soggy peach cobbler). Looking forward to seein' you in a couple of weeks. God Bless and don't burn the taters.

I think that all Del's desserts are sugar and fat free...he doesn't charge for the sugar and fat.

I'll have to agree with you there.  I've never know Del to sugar coat anything ;)

Sagebrush Burns

Delmonico - please sign up Black Mtn Cat and Sagebrush Burns for lunch on Thu, Fri, Sat & Sun.  If it works for you I'll have cash for you when we arrive.  I'm sure you remember that she is allergic to onions.  Thanks, SB

Del, Sir! (proper to suck up to the cook right?) Would the Commissary have any use for 5 lbs, of jalapeno venison sausage. I think it is delicious, although some bites are a bit on the warm side. My wife , the lovely Miss Theresa, is not a huge fan and I would be glad to share if you can use it. Obviously not enough to serve 30, but maybe for a meal early in the week, or in combination with something else. I'm also thinking about a fishing excursion to the canal (with the General's permission of course) to attempt to furnish fresh fish for the troops! I will be arriving with Quickfire on Wednesday.
It is far better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt!

Sounds good to me.  We can do something with it, eggs and sausage for breakfast maybe.
