I'm not 100% certain what the story is on it. When I took the photo, I thought it was a gift to one of the boys. However; when everyone was picking up after the reception was breaking up, one of the boys' cousins (also an Eagle Scout) picked up the rifle and held onto it, so now I'm thinking it was his and was just used as a decoration. Anyway, I thought that it was cool (I didn't previously realize HRA made an Eagle commemorative) and so included the picture.

On a side note; I mentioned that their cousin is also an Eagle, so is another cousin. It was announced during the ceremony that Gavin and Justin's Grandmother has 4 grandchildren and all 4 are Eagle Scouts.

Hi

Congratulations to the boys and ESPECIALLY their parents.  As the father of an Eagle and a Committee member in a good troop, I know how exasperating it can be getting a boy from Life to Eagle.  For two twins, (not mine) it took 18 months to fill out the 2 page Eagle application with the merit badges complete, leadership finished, and the project completed.  Mine took 2 years for Half of Communications MB and another one.

Again, Congrats

A mere 48 years ago I and 5 of my good friends and fellow Scouts stood on the altar steps of St Albans Episcopal Church. Excellent memory. Welcome to the brotherhood Gentlemen!

A job well done gentlemen.  They couldn't have made it that far without a lot of support from that scoutmaster in the background.  What were their Eagle projects?

I'm glad for them, a couple of nice boys and have enjoyed having them in camp.

As a Scoutmaster, I know what that takes.  Well done young men, many congrats to all involved.

They made and installed crosses for the graves of veterans in all the local cemeteries.
