White Meat or Dark?

LOL!  At Thanksgiving dinner I was planning on having some dark meat ...until I happened to wander into the kitchen to refresh my beverage prior to dinner and observed one of my brothers-in-law 'coon fingering' the plate of dark meat, at which time I made a mental note to stick with white meat this time around.

Plain dark meat. White meat goes under the gravy, then later is put on sandwiches with Miracle Whip. Had one of those last night. Yum!

just catching up on my reading.  Hey Del, glad to see I am not alone on the Group W bench.   

I like dark meat to eat.  For sandwiches, toast the bun, spread the cold gravy on the bottom slice, still warm.  place a slice of white meat, slice of left over dressing (we don't cook it in the bird), smear on the cranberry-orange compote, and just a little mustard.   I know it sounds strange, but QUITE TASTY!

Yes!
I like it all.. good thing too cause Sunday,  I cooked a turkey, noodles, mashed taters, dressing and a German chocolate cake..and as of today..we are STILL eating all of the above.
I believe tomorrow, I'll make a pie crust and make turkey pot pie or make some tortilla's and throw together turkey enchilada's.
Sandwiches consist of Sourdough bread.. real mayo or real butter.. a layer of potato chips and strands of dark  turkey..then another layer of chips. hard to eat.. but heaven when you get there..

Whelp, yanno, fellas................

When I first saw 'chicken pizza' sortah had visions of a bunch ah pokes sittin' 'round a table.  Mugs ah ice cold beer.  This big ole pipin' hot pizza in the middle of the table.  Them boys is lookin' at it kindah sideways.  Each of 'em darin' the others ta eat a hunk first.  Kindah like playin', uhhhh, 'Chicken'.

Don't them hunks of foul get kindah crispy when ya stick 'em inna pizza oven?
