I tried out my newly acquired SAECO/Redding 350 gr. gas check mould today. I set my goal at 100 and when I was finished there were 110 nice bullets. The first 10 or so went back into the pot until the mould was up to temperature. They dropped consistently at 349.4 and 349.5 grains and measured .459 to .460. My Lee push through sizing die is .457, I'm uncertain if I need a .458 or .459 die or not. I need to take delivery of my 1876 Centennial 45-75 to be sure. Having a ready supply of gas checked bullets will give me the versatility of using smokeless powder. I've already cast a supply of the Gould 330 gr. hollow points and FP 400 gr. lever action specific bullets for use with black powder. I really like the "Old Eynsford" 1 1/2 f in my 1874 Sharps. Excellent velocity and easy clean up. Happy Easter to all!
