I called around looking for pistols that were a little "different" than the normal ones I already had. This one was at Taylors and Company  http://www.taylorsfirearms.com/ and in the 45Colt which is my caliber of choice. I never owned a nickel plated one before so while I'm waiting on my other Full coverage engraved custom Open Top from Uberti's custom shop, this one serves a purpose.

I've learned a lesson....why settle for "normal" when you can get "different" as long as you can wait for a custom order or shop around the distributors.

That is awesome, in the old sense! I am particularly enthralled with the correct-to-period checkered grips. I cannot recall
the nomenclature ... "saw checkered" ?

 Professor, I believe they are Buffalo Bros. grips , The OP would need to confirm .

     I usually don't like nickel guns, but I'll make an exception for this one. With those grips the gun is perfect!
