So thought I'd add a picture :)  25 yard groups from 2 USFA guns...a .38 Special Rodeo on top and a 32-20 China Camp below.  They built a nice gun!

The 5.5" 38  shot exceptionally well.  It was a Long Hunter gun originally so no wonder.  I broke down in a moment of weakness and changed the .38 to a 4 3/4" 45 and then had John Adams Sr. scratch it up some and fit a pair of ivory myself.   It is the top gun in this photo...paired with another scratched up Rodeo to match :)

This gun one actually has a custom cut and contoured back strap and trigger guard with a thin set of ivories I made up for them.   Take a look at how straight the bottom of the front strap is by comparison.  That set up is now bolted to a different gun I carry a lot.

My saddle gun...

Hope you will add these photos to our "Picture Pages" section.  :)

You can't change the wind, but you can always change your sails.

I could and I would but I would rather start a conversation with them here instead :)

Any one here actually carry a USFA for self defense?

I use that 3" gun on the horse all the time.  Same gun I cut the trigger guard right down to the base screw to straighten it out some for a more comfortable grip.

Just hoping you could do both!  :)

Very nice "scratches" on those Rodeos.

I like 'em, too, even if I can't shoot 'em that good!   :o
A man's true measure is found not in what he says but in what he does.

Not sure I can right now either Lou.  But have found a BIG  pile of sand bags helps :)

How is the Appaloosa coming along on the path to being a bridle horse?

Always manana :)  Work in progress.

But have 2 more in hackamore.  When I am not too lazy the big guy is in a two rein.   3 more yet behind them.

yes indeed.   New horses put my '76 projects on the back burner.  Your new .50 sure looks sweet though!
