A copy of this book has been handed down through my family since the mid 1800s. It is one of the best selling cookbooks of all time, and likely a source for many a meal in the old days. You can download an electronic version here, just be aware that many of the recipes are for very large quantities (one recipe for a peach dessert calls for 9 lbs of peaches!).

Thanks, Del, those are great. I also saw an earlier thread that turned into a discussion of sourdough, and made me want to give it a try. Too many projects going on right now, but some day!
